I really regret to inform you that I didn't get to see my lessons before the coaching session but after that I had time to sit down got review it on my own. It made realize what I could have done. I like the one-on-one discussion where a coach can share ideas on how to fix or improve things. Teaching is a continuous learning journey, and as a professional, I can learn in many ways through GrapeSEED teaching with the support of a coach. It is very helpful and gives me a lot of confidence in how to run the class smoothly. If I were going through this journey alone, I wouldn’t be able to do it on my own. A coach helps me see how I grow and how I progress.

During my first coaching session, I felt clueless because my previous school did not offer this kind of support. Transitioning to a different curriculum and teaching an all-kids class was a completely new experience for me. The advice that I received on how to get the students that aren't participating as actively involved in the GrapeSEED lesson is extremely helpful. I will be testing out different ways of positive reinforcement and using items such as popsicle sticks to get the students to participate more actively as well. [GrapeSEED Coaching] is a nice tool to have as a teacher. It’s great to speak to a coach directly rather than writing an email. It’s very clear. It’s easy to ask questions about the pacing for example and anything specific in the classroom.
